For a dear friend on VHR and a DA artist ~RoyalMagic This is her beloved cat, that passed away. (correct me Royal if I was wrong on that part, I lack sleep) Anyways, this is many many hours work.. I started the 12th, late at night and just done the background and a outline of the cat. After I got home from the middle school on Friday (teaching) I worked for a hour before super, and work afterwards until 12 that night.. Then I got up at 8 this morning and went to work (on the pic).. Of course taking much needed breaks. Since my back and eyes started hurting.. But I just completed it, *looks at time* around 8 pm. -dies- Prob. a total of 20 hours.

If I ever do anything like this again, just kill me.. I was about to give up half way through. I'm rather pleased even if the eyes are off set of each other.. I hope it looks somewhat like your cat Royal..

The effort really payed off. :D <- what a cliche phrase.

The whiskers don't seem to go along with the rest of the cat. They would fit if you could see each indivudual hair here, but it's more of just smudges of colors. This could be fixed if they were a bit more obvious and/or thick. I'm not an expert at realism or giving critism so keep that in mind.
Thanks much.. You are right about the whiskers. I prob. should have smudged them after I made them.. Prob. would have blended more with the rest. And yes, its a smudged of colors pic, lol.. I started trying to the individual hair and got mad and smudge it all.. :blushes: thank agains and I'kll keep it in mind

I have "fur brushes" that make painting fur a whole lot easier. There is a tutorial on it. :D [link]

Glad I could help.
